Launching the Forward Thinking Podcast

We’re excited to share that LogiHire has launched the Forward Thinking podcast - a new series dedicated to exploring the people, ideas, and strategies shaping the future of freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain.

When we looked across the industry, we realised something was missing: there was no dedicated podcast for the Australian freight forwarding and logistics market. That’s why we created Forward Thinking. It’s a space where industry voices can share insights openly, challenges can be unpacked, and practical solutions can be explored, all with an Australian perspective.

Why We Created Forward Thinking

Freight and logistics professionals are some of the busiest people in the workforce. Whether you’re a freight forwarder moving containers across the globe, a 3PL managing complex distribution networks, or a hiring manager building high-performance teams, time is limited.

Podcasts are the perfect medium for our industry. They’re accessible on the go, whether you’re in the office, commuting, or even on the warehouse floor. And yet, despite logistics being one of the most vital industries in the economy, there wasn’t a podcast that spoke directly to the Australian freight forwarding community.

With Forward Thinking, we’re filling that gap. Each episode is designed to deliver practical insights in a conversational, easy-to-digest format.

Who Should Listen?

The Forward Thinking podcast is built for anyone working in or connected to the freight, logistics, and supply chain industry.

  • Hiring Managers & Employers → Gain new ideas on how to attract and retain the best talent in a competitive market.

  • Industry Professionals → Learn how leaders are adapting to challenges like pricing pressures, global trade shifts, and digital transformation.

  • Job Seekers & Candidates → Get insider perspectives on what employers are really looking for, and how to build a successful career in freight forwarding or logistics.

  • Industry Partners → Brokers, shipping lines, transport companies, and technology providers who want to stay in tune with market conversations.

By covering perspectives from both employers and employees, Forward Thinking aims to bring the industry closer together.

How Forward Thinking is Different

There are global supply chain podcasts out there, but few that focus on the unique challenges and opportunities of the Australian freight forwarding market.

Australia’s logistics landscape is different, from compliance and customs requirements to geography to the talent market itself. Employers here are facing high competition for Business Development Managers, Operations staff, and Customs Brokers, while candidates are looking for employers who can offer progression and culture.

Forward Thinking is the first podcast that speaks directly to this market. We’re bringing the conversations we have every day with clients and candidates into a format that’s accessible to the wider industry.

What to Expect

Each episode dives into the topics that matter most, including:

  • How businesses attract and retain top talent

  • Shifts in global trade and supply chains

  • Technology and innovation changing the industry

  • Real career stories from freight professionals

  • Practical recruitment advice from LogiHire’s own experience

We keep the tone approachable, direct, and focused on delivering value in every conversation.

Where to Listen

The podcast is now live on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube - making it easy to tune in wherever you are.
